Air Flow (Preview Only)
To create a high-performance home, builders have to understand and manage many different airflows. Air is always moving: from indoors to outdoors, from outdoors to indoors, through ducts and vents attached to appliances, between rooms in the house and within and between framing voids and other cavities in the building structure. Changing one aspect of this airflow will always affect other aspects of the airflow and airflow changes may affect energy and moisture flows throughout the house as a system.
This course takes a close, careful look at all the important airflows that influence a home's performance. You will learn how to design and build systems that manage and control these airflows, in order to achieve the goals of occupant health, occupant comfort and building durability.
